Hi, I’m Anita.
I started The Peace & Anxiety Route because I spent a lot of years feeling like I had to hold everything together on my own — and a lot of nights wishing someone would just hand me one true, steady thing to hold onto instead of another five-step plan.
This site is that steady thing, as best as I can offer it. It’s not about pretending hard seasons don’t exist. It’s about having somewhere to bring them — scripture that isn’t preachy, words that sound like a friend rather than a sermon, and reminders that you’re allowed to still be in progress.
“The Lord is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit.” — Psalm 34:18
Whether you found this site during a hard week or just out of curiosity, I’m glad you’re here. Take what’s helpful, leave what isn’t, and come back anytime.

You’re not behind
There’s no timeline you’re supposed to be keeping up with. Wherever you are today is an okay place to start from.
Feelings aren’t the enemy
Anxiety, grief, and anger aren’t signs of a weak faith. They’re signs you’re paying attention to a hard world.
Small steps count
One verse, one honest prayer, one better breath — that’s enough for today. It’s allowed to be enough.
